As of October 07, 2007, there is a new WWE Champion; Randall Keith Orton. After being awarded the title by Mr. McMahon, Orton said John Cena was just lucky he was injured, because it saved him the embarassment of losing.
Triple H persuaded Mr. McMahon to give him a title match against Randy. Less than twenty minutes later, there was yet another new champion- Triple H. He defended the title in one more title match against the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga. Battered and bruised, Triple H sat backstage nursing his injuries.
Angry and stunned that he had lost the title so quickly, Randy requested another match against Triple H, to which Mr. McMahon agreed with pleasure.
In an intense "Last Man Standing" match, Randy unexpectedly recoveted the WWE Championship from Triple H, cradling the belt in his hands, kissing the gold, and raising it for the crowd to see.

This Monday on RAW, Randy teamed up with Umaga to defend the title against a completely wrecked Triple H.
Mr. McMahon demanded that every superstar come to the ring to shake the new champion's hand and congratulate him- Triple H being the first in line. When Triple H did not show, McMahon sent Orton backstage to drag him out. As Randy stepped from the ring and viciously walked towards the backstage, a familiar song began to play through the arena: The theme song of none other than Shawn Michaels.
As HBK walked towards Randy Orton, he began to back up as a look of shock spread over his face. He jumped in the ring and grabbed the belt, ready to attack Michaels. However, he was only brutally attacked and suddenly received some "sweet chin music". Orton lay lifeless on the floor while HBK worked the astonished crowd. Mr. McMahon could only shake his head looking annoyed.
